Answer
Now with Microsoft® Windows® Powered Smartphone 2002 SDK Beta developers have the opportunity to create powerful applications for this exciting platform - reaching potentially millions of users.
The SDK will be familiar to developers with experience in programming for Windows, and especially so for those who have used the eMbedded Visual Tools (specifically, eMbedded Visual C++ 3.0). However, if you are new to Microsoft mobility application development, then the tools and guides included in the SDK will help.
The Beta SDK is available only to members of the Microsoft Mobile Solutions Partner Program (MSPP) as a free download and registration for MSPP is also free of charge.
However, Microsoft® asks a few things from you before you can be accepted into the program:
- An active interest in Microsoft Mobile Software, and a serious intention of developing solutions based on the Microsoft mobile platform
- An active and functioning web site: we want to be able to send customers and other partners to your web site, so please be sure to keep your Web site active. If your site is still "Under Construction", we will have to ask you to populate your site, or ask you to reapply when it is ready
- As mentioned earlier, we use the information collected here to publicise your company and products. We would therefore ask that your company descriptions are detailed and informative. One or two word entries are not sufficient
- Please be sure to enter a Primary, Technical and Marketing contact. You can submit the same name for each contact, but each of these fields must be completed.
Only entries in English are accepted.
The program provides companies developing and marketing mobility applications and solutions with information and help to enhance and increase their efforts. To see the benefits of membership, and to get the online application form please visit Mobile Solutions Partner Program.
